PlayStation palmar hidradenitis

PlayStation palmar hidradenitis is a medical condition where a person develops painful lesions on their palms and fingers. It differs from palmoplantar hidradenitis, in that it affects only the hands. According to a publication by the British Journal of Dermatology,[1] it is specifically a "cutaneous (skin) pathology induced by console gaming."[2] The publication goes on to describe the case of a 12-year-old girl who was admitted to the Geneva hospital with this condition. She fully recovered after refraining from playing her video game console for 10 days.
